Podiatrist - Altamonte Springs, Kissimmee, Mt. Dora, Orlando, and Sandlake-area.
I have been talking about a common complaint that I frequently hear in my office - heel pain - or plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis can resolve on its own, but more often it does not. Typical treatment may consist of stretching, warm water soaks, adjustment of shoes, padding in the shoes, and at times, a corticosteroid injection and/or an oral anti-inflammatory agent. If managed properly, results are ususally positive. Likewise, the condition requires maintenance from time to time because the architecture of the foot and our daily habits remain the same.
