Baseball Season Is Just Around the Corner - physical activity is an excellent way for kids of all ages to stay active & healthy. This summer many youth across America will be involved in playing baseball. Along with wearing the team uniform, selecting the proper shoe for the sport is vitality important.
Buying the proper shoe designed for the sport or activity your child will be participating in not only improves your child's performance on the field, but also keeps him/her free from serious foot & ankle injury. Baseball & other outdoor field sports such as soccer, football, softball, & lacrosse constantly keep your child's feet moving. His/her shoes must fit properly to prevent tripping & falling. A shoe with cleats should: (1) fit snugly but comfortably on your child's foot-about one thumb width or less from the toe to the end of the shoe. Oversized shoes can affect balance & cause blisters. (2) feature a leather upper with a rubber sole to prevent slipping & injury. and (3) have regulation length cleats on the sole ot prevent injury to your child or others.
